Swede Heat AB had during six weeks a 20 man strong team in place in Lysekil for the REV-13 turnaround. They had the responsibility of conducting and documenting the utmost majority of heat treatment that was needed during this year’s shut down. The 11th down the line for the plant and counted as one of the most extensive turnarounds in Europe, with around 2500 entrepreneurs from 40 or so companies together with a 450 employees from Preem.

The Heat Treatment was an around the clock operation with 12-14 people on days and 6-8 on nightshift.

Swede Heat AB had 40 machines in place, 1000 heaters and just about 10 miles of cables that could control 200 zones simultaneously. For the larger projects 2 1,2MW Gas burners were used.

Worth to note here is that during this time, an extensive 4 week maintenance job was being done 4 hours east of Lysekil, and a 2 week long job in Denmark that kept in total 6 others occupied.

Not counting normal day to day jobs scattered around Scandinavia…
